Speaking Of Learning

Que Sera Sera

Okay gotta make this quick. Because:Tennis Elbow or as I like to say: Vacuum Elbow.  Not much typing or doing really anything for that matter.  Oh well.

Speaking of learning, as I did in my last essay. Which by the way a reader commented on and it was a proper heckle. So I banned that Jeckle from making any future appearances. He did make me think, but it seemed  like a dirty thing for him to have written what he wrote.

Go read my last article and tell me if I sound like I am “moaning” would you please. Then get back to me on that. I don’t moan on Substack. Not in the way he was alluding to anyway. You know who you are. Anyway.

What I Learned Today by Lisa A. Cable

It’s Sunday. It’s mid October. Many things are bombarding us humans. The bombariest thing of all, of course, is the added mental controls of the seemingly evil ritual of voting. The election is coming!  The election is coming! The newspaper boys are all decrying on the street corners. “Read all about it!”

The lesser of two evils is what my friend Jeremy said to me today when he went off into his own narrative of  who the tyrannical leader ‘would be’. But it’s still evil and it is still a consent, a contract with you and your signature and your government that you will, indeed, accept the incoming. You consent. NO matter who wins. No matter what evil it is. It is still evil. Why does no one actually realize that? There is so much denial and fear going on it is incalculable.

So. Just before running into Jeremy and Ron I met a woman named Leah and her dog Henry in the alley. We ended up speaking for almost forty five minutes. Two strangers who struck up. She is in the same ‘fear evil’ boat as Jeremy. I am not going to say who or what I think is the better ‘choice’ of candidates. Because there is no better choice. You are still consenting to be governed by whichever one you think is the vile one.

I adore, I simply adore stating that I am not voting. People are shocked but I am seeing and hearing that they cannot argue against my point.  “oh, you’re right.” They say. But then they are immediately back into a hate/fear mindset. Not me. I can feel all that. Don’t get me wrong.  And I do. I feel fear about the future just like the next guy.

What do you love to do? What it is that you love is probably something that pulls you into the moment of presence. The moment where nothing else exists. You know the one? That’s where you are not in the past or the future. No tripping backwards or forwards. It’s a little like a dream state. No fear is there.

People seemed steeped in fear today but also able to peer out over the top of it. Keep your head above that water. Don’t drown in fears. In both of these spontaneous street conversations it ended with a consensus to strive for nature and song. To be present.  While being present we all agreed to strive against fear. It does matter who you vote for. Or does it? Why not get more objective and at the very least, be in the present.  That’s why it’s a relatively ‘free’ country. There is room for all of us.

No matter what the governments around the world say.

There is no stopping what is coming. It’s bigger than a vote. That’s for sure. We can’t vote ourselves out of what is coming. There is no majority rule. We are not in that club. We are minion slaves at best in the corporation of the Americas. You can’t unsee it.

LOL seriously.  It is doom and gloom. But, and I will say it again and again: “Nobody can take your moments away from you.”  You are alive here in the moment. Here in the now. Right now reading these words. You’re welcome!  Turn this around and share your moments of presence with the vibes of life, with the people you meet, with yourself. The kingdom of heaven is within you. I heard that somewhere…many years ago.

As ever yours, Your friend Lisa
